Kerry Mix Moves Up at ASU-Beebe (Movers & Shakers)

Dr. Kerry Mix has been named vice chancellor of academics at Arkansas State University-Beebe. Mix has 16 years of experience in higher education, including community college, particularly the administration of career and technical education. Most recently, Mix served as dean of business and technology at San Jacinto Community College District in Houston, which serves more than 35,000 students. He previously was dean of enrollment services at the community college.


Jim Chidester, senior mechanical engineer of Batson Inc., has been named a 2016 LEED Fellow by Green Business Certification Inc. He has over 20 years of consulting engineering experience, which includes HVAC and plumbing systems design for commercial buildings, with special emphasis in energy-efficient design, energy studies and energy modeling. He also serves on the board of directors of Christopher Homes of Arkansas and on the Arkansas State University College of Engineering ME Advisory Board.
