Lesley Nalley, Hot Springs Village POA (Small Private Company CFO of the Year Finalist)

2 min read

Lesley Nalley won’t be a CFO for much longer. On Dec. 1 she’ll assume the role of CEO at the Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association.

Nalley has been in her current role for two years and says that what she has accomplished there is what she is most proud of in her entire career. In the position, Nalley led a systemwide software upgrade and helped put data into a format easier to understand.

There are many things Nalley says she loves about the job at Hot Springs Village, but one stands out. “It really is the community and the diversity of thought,” Nalley said. “At Hot Springs Village our residents come from all over the nation. They relocate and retire here, and they bring with them such exciting backgrounds — they’ve run major corporations or traveled all over the world.”

Nalley began her accounting career at Alltel, where, she said, the company provided great training and helped her to get a good start.

“From the very beginning of my career I got to see all of the financial information come together, and they had an amazing leadership and training program — everything from how to do Excel to how to be a first-time supervisor,” Nalley said. “They did a very good job of mentoring people and setting them on the road to success.”

As Nalley looks to the future, she is excited about the opportunities that the next year holds. She was recently appointed to the Governor’s Advisory Council on Aging and the Arkansas Housing Trust Fund.

“That has really given Hot Springs Village an opportunity to have a voice at the table in terms of senior needs and retirement communities,” Nalley said. “It’s really opened my eyes and given me an opportunity to take part in strengthening Arkansas’ economy.”
