2 min read

MHP/Team SI won three national Silver Anvil Awards and an Award of Excellence last week from the Public Relations Society of America.

PRSA hosted the 2021 Silver Anvil Awards in New York City, but the Little Rock agency joined it virtually, throwing a party at its office.

“We are proud to be recognized alongside our clients in four categories at the 2021 PRSA Silver Anvil Awards, the PR industry’s most prestigious awards recognizing creativity and, more importantly, demonstrable results,” President Sharon Vogelpohl said in a news release. “We have an incredible team led by Kristen Vandaveer Nicholson, APR, one of the most innovative and committed professionals in the business, clients with vision and a culture that builds trust, fueling new ideas. Clearly, it’s a winning formula.”

MHP/Team SI won two of the awards for its work on a campaign for Kinetic by Windstream, for that company’s #LocallyLexington initiative to support locally owned businesses in Lexington, Kentucky, during the pandemic. The awards were in the community relations and most effective campaign on a shoestring budget of $5,000 or less categories.

The other award recognized the agency’s work on the Uplift Arkansas campaign that launched a website to provide a comprehensive, reliable list of information on local businesses, restaurants, services and more. The award was in the most effective campaign on a $5,000-$10,000 budget category.

The firm also received an Award of Excellence in the crisis communications category for helping the Arkansas Health Care Association with a campaign designed to inform the public about the pandemic as well as combat misinformation about it.

The 2019 national ceremony included 120 finalists in 19 categories and subcategories.
