Dr. Bob Young, a former college student-athlete and longtime Trojan season ticket holder, has donated $250,000 to Little Rock Trojan Athletics.
UA Little Rock said the retired Little Rock physician has supported all sports there for several years and all the school’s 15 Division I programs will benefit from the gift.
Also, in honor of Young, the university will name the northwest entrance of the Jack Stephens Center the “Dr. Bob Young Entrance.”
Young played baseball for the University of Mississippi. He completed medical school and his residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and practiced obstetrics and gynecology in Little Rock.
