Hark, a Little Rock-based media company that set out earlier this year to record central Arkansas’ entrepreneurial “conversations,” has named former Windstream manager Scott Davis its chief technology officer and co-founder.
Davis will lead the firm’s web and streaming application development efforts, according to a press release issued Tuesday.
“Scott brings 20 years of software development experience and a deep understanding of key technologies Hark will leverage to provide a best-in-class experience for our customers,” said Ryan Guinee, Hark co-founder and COO. “His management experience and track record building successful startups in our space makes him an important asset to our team.”
Davis served as senior manager and senior software engineer for Windstream Communications. Before that, he founded Critical Technologies LLC, a mobile application development firm in Richmond, Virginia.
Hark creates and distributes digital content and media focused on the creative and entrepreneurial communities in the Little Rock area. In January, it launched a video series featuring unscripted conversations among key members of those communities.
The company plans to expand its offerings to the entire southeastern U.S. beginning in the fall. The company says its content has been viewed in 43 states and more than 60 countries.
Hark recently concluded the inaugural season of its video series. Its archive is available here.
