One of our operatives pointed us to a recent online listing for a “well-established media & publishing business” that’s for sale in the state.
The business advertised in the listing bears a striking resemblance to Vowell Inc., the company owned by Vicki Vowell that publishes Little Rock’s AY Magazine and Arkansas Money & Politics.
Asking price for the unnamed business? $500,000.
The listing notes the media company for sale was established in 1988 (same as Vowell Inc.) and publishes two magazines: one focusing on business and another “consumer” magazine.
The listing also says the company offices in a building owned by the owner. It’s an attribution that again sounds an awful lot like the Vowell Inc. headquarters, which is owned by Vowell.
Vowell did not return a phone message or e-mail before press time.
