
Carrie Lucas, an advanced practice registered nurse, has joined Washington Regional Walker Heart Institute in Fayetteville, where she provides care to patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions. Lucas earned a Master of Science in nursing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Missouri State University of Springfield.
Kelly Madia, an advanced practice registered nurse, has joined the Washington Regional Walker Heart Cardiovascular Clinic in Fayetteville. Madia earned a doctorate of nursing practice from the University of Arkansas and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.

Dr. Laura B. Dunn has been named the next chair of the Department of Psychiatry in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and director of the Psychiatric Research Institute.
Dunn is a professor and section chief for geriatric psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine in California. Dunn will be invested as the Marie Wilson Howells Chair in Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, the oldest and largest endowed chair at UAMS. She begins work on Feb. 1.

Dr. Prasad Padala, a professor in the UAMS Department of Psychiatry, has accepted the position of program director of UAMS’ new collaborative psychiatry residency program with Baptist Health, the Baptist Health-UAMS Psychiatry Residency Program. Padala is a research scientist with UAMS’ Center for Health Services Research.

Jared Elmquist, a physician assistant, has joined Conway Regional Surgical Associates.
Elmquist holds a Master of Science in physician assistant studies from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed his Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.
