Metova Gets $45M Defense Contract for Cyberspace War

Metova, the tech services and app development firm with offices in Conway and Cabot, announced on Thursday that it had been awarded a $45 million federal contract to support cyberspace and electronic warfare efforts for the U.S. Army Cyber Battle Lab.

Metova announced on Tuesday that it would open an office in Fayetteville and employ 30 there. The company, which has more than 200 clients, competed nationally with eight other firms to win the contract.

Metova is based in Franklin, Tennessee.

“Metova is honored to have the opportunity to support this critical military effort for the ever growing threat in cyber security and electronic warfare,” said John Adams, Metova’s CEO, in a news release. “Cybersecurity is one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation and we are committed to the success of this effort.”

The Cyber Battle Lab supports cyberspace operations, electronic warfare and spectrum management. According to DefenseSystems.com, “experimentation support” expected to be delivered under the contract includes systems engineering, satellite support, analysis, prototyping, assessments, systems administration, network engineering, information assurance, model development, distributed simulation network operations and security center services.
