Natural State Medicinals Cultivation Has New CEO, Permit HolderLock Icon

Just in time for our focus on the business of medical marijuana, word comes that the state’s biggest cultivation company is under new ownership.

USA Drug Stores Inc. CEO Joe Courtright is no longer involved with Natural State Medicinals Cultivation of White Hall, he tells Whispers, and the state Medical Marijuana Commission approved Dr. Alonzo Williams as the grow site’s new permit holder on Dec. 8.

In June, Robert Lemberes took over as CEO and Robert DeBin was named company president. Lemberes offered an update on the 150-employee company last week, saying its menu of cannabis products has steadily expanded since sales to dispensaries began in June 2019.

“Our company ownership is made entirely of native Arkansans, most of whom are medical professionals,” Lemberes said via email. The Company is expanding to diversify its menu of ancillary products and investing in expansion of its product processing section. One company priority, Lemberes said, is “to continue to invest heavily in research and development so we can offer more effective relief for our patients.”

Natural State now produces raw-oil and distilled-oil vape cartridges, dabbable syringes, pharmaceutical-grade topical creams, tinctures, gummies, chocolate bark and even THC suppositories.
