U.S. Pizza Co. recently broke ground on its new building in Maumelle, at 109 Commons Drive. Drew Weber, chief operating officer of U.S. Pizza, says it’s replacing the old location at 650 Edgewood Drive, which was hard to find.
The new quarters will be 4,700 SF and will seat 150 inside and 75 on the patio and will have a full bar, a party room with a private patio, a fireplace and a game room. It will serve as a prototype for all future stores, he said.
The company builds its own stores, and Weber expects the Maumelle location to be open in six to eight months.
U.S. Pizza’s growth plans remain the same, slow but steady, Weber said. The company has 10 locations in central Arkansas and Fayetteville and four licensee locations, in Batesville, Cabot, Conway and Newport.
The licensee of U.S. Pizza’s Batesville store is hunting for a store location in Jonesboro, Weber said, with plans to build in 2016.
