A natural gas filling station operated by American Natural Gas.
Alternative motor fuels distributor American Natural Gas of Saratoga Springs, New York, announced on Monday its acquisition of Krug Energy’s public compressed natural gas station in Searcy.
ANG has also signed a long-term fueling agreement with hauling and transportation company Triple Transport Inc. of Judsonia. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
This will be the company’s third Arkansas station. It purchased two stations in May, one in Conway and the other in Damascus, from an affiliate of Southwestern Energy Co. of Houston.
ANG said the Searcy station has high-performance compressors, more than 600 PSI of inlet pressure, ample buffer storage and three dispensers to fuel both personal vehicles and heavy-duty, commercial tractors. Service at the station will be uninterrupted during the transition to the new owner, the company said.
“With approximately 800,000 gallons fueled in 2015, this station is one of the top performing sites in the country,” ANG CEO Drew West said in the release. “These figures, combined with the hard work put into building and maintaining the station make it a proud addition to the ANG network.”
“Krug Energy welcomes ANG to Searcy and is looking forward to their expertise in bringing this CNG station to its full potential,” Krug Energy and Triple Transport President Rush King said in the release. “This deal is a win-win for both parties and gives us the opportunity to focus on our core business. [Compressed natural gas] remains a smart business and environmental decision and we intend to fuel our vehicles with it for years to come.”
