Deloitte of New York City on Thursday announced that it will open a new office in downtown Little Rock for about 100 of its consulting and advisory practice employees.
The company had an office in Little Rock on Center Street, but said that location was small and very different from the type of space it is looking for now. Deloitte also said it is still working through the real estate process.
The company, which provides audit, consulting, tax and advisory services, said more than 300 of its employees are currently serving nearly 40 clients that have a presence in Arkansas.
In a news release, Todd Higgins, principal for Deloitte Consulting LLP and leader of the state of Arkansas account, said the new office would allow the company to better serve its clients, strengthen the local economy and enhance its commitment to volunteerism and community service.
“The state of Arkansas is an important public sector client for Deloitte and one with whom we are working closely to make an impact for both state employees and the people they serve,” he said.
He also told Arkansas Business, “We are considering several downtown office locations and look forward to making a final decision shortly.”
Jason Downing, Arkansas and North Texas managing partner for Deloitte LLP and central region market leader, said, “Our Little Rock team has the potential to double or triple over the next few years as new opportunities develop and more local professionals are hired.”
