For the History Buffs
Mississippi County is home to several special museums with appeal for history buffs and music lovers alike. The National Cold War Center in Blytheville will officially open in 2027, but has already hosted exhibits for the public; once open, the full museum experience will inform and interpret the Cold War era in the United States. In Dyess, visitors will find Johnny Cash’s boyhood home, part of the Historic Dyess Colony created by President Franklin Roosevelt.

Town Transformation
The city of Wilson is undergoing a major transformation, as local developers seek to foster a 21st century agricultural community. The picturesque village boasts the luxury Louis Hotel, which offers guided hunting and fishing trips, golf and more. The city supports an artists-in-residency program wherein local art is showcased throughout attractions like the Louis. The city is also known for its farm-to-table food culture. The Wilson Cafe & Tavern derives its menu from the seasonal harvests at the nearby Grange Garden and other surrounding community farms; visitors will also find fresh baked goods, desserts and ice cream available at the Grange.
