The nonprofit Claude Parrish Radiation Therapy Institute, or ParRTI, has donated more than $775,000 to the North Arkansas Medical Foundation for Cancer Care in Harrison.
“Because of this generous donation to the Foundation, North Arkansas Regional Medical Center will continue to provide the most up-to-date cancer care for our patients for generations to come,” Kim Rosson, the health system’s marketing director, said in a news release.
ParRTI was founded in 1990 with the goal of raising funds to purchase equipment for a radiation treatment center at the hospital. Current members include Scott Tennyson, Dolores Meadows, Sherry Bishop, Kirk Campbell, Bill Griffin, Dr. Gwen Gresham and Rob McCorkindale.
“NARMC is honored to receive such an incredible gift from the ParRTI Foundation to continue in the advancement of cancer care for our community,” Sammie Cribbs, president and CEO of the health system, said in the release. “These individuals have given a gift so many will receive great benefits from and we are honored to be able to carry on this mission.
“Thank you to each of you for all of your hard work and dedication in caring for our community. We are excited as we look forward and truly grateful for everyone who has made this gift possible.”
