Paul Rowton Promoted to President of GES Inc. (Super Mover)

Paul Rowton has been promoted to president of GES Inc. of Marianna, which owns and operates Edwards Food Giant and Edwards Cash Saver stores. As president, he will oversee operations of GES’s stores as well as help guide company strategy. “His leadership skills moved him through the company ranks quickly and he has been a true asset to the company,” said the press release announcing his promotion.

Rowton most recently served as the company’s executive vice president and CFO. He joined GES in 2002 as a store sales manager in Harrisburg. Before that, he worked as a district sales manager for several years at Hershey Foods of Hershey, Pennsylvania. Rowton currently serves on the board of trustees of the Arkansas State University System of Little Rock and the Baptist Memorial Health Care System of Memphis. He is a board member of the National Grocers Association of Washington, D.C., and has served six terms as chairman of the Arkansas Retailers Association of Little Rock. Rowton is also a board member and former president of the Harrisburg Rotary Club, as well as a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow.

Rowton earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
