Update (8/21/25): Pea Ridge Urgent Care Clinic Co.’s attorney Kevin Keech told Arkansas Business that the clinic “has reached an agreement with First Western Bank, and that no changes or interruptions in business are expected to occur. The clinic is open for business and looking forward to serving the needs of the Pea Ridge community.”
Original story (8/18/25): An urgent care clinic in Benton County is facing foreclosure after allegedly defaulting on about $4 million worth of loans, according to a lawsuit filed by the lender last month.
First Western Bank of Booneville alleges that Pea Ridge Urgent Care Clinic Co. owes about $4 million for loans taken out between October 2022 and February 2025, according to its lawsuit filed in Benton County Circuit Court.
Dr. Alan Schumacher, the head physician at the clinic, personally guaranteed the loans and is named as a defendant in the lawsuit.
The bank said that if the foreclosure sale doesn’t cover the amount owed, it should be given a deficiency judgment against the clinic and Schumacher.
First Western is represented by Larry McCredy of the RMP law firm’s Springdale office.
Schumacher declined to comment when reached at his clinic.
Pea Ridge Urgent Care touts on its website that it eliminates “the need for appointments, ensuring prompt access to care when you need it most. With on-site lab testing and X-ray services, we prioritize efficiency without compromising quality.”
