Stephens Inc. of Little Rock announced that Peter Gant has joined its investment banking division as a managing director and head of technology.
Grant will be based in the company’s Dallas office.
He has more than 24 years of experience in investment banking focused on the software industry, Stephens said in a news release. Prior to joining Stephens, he was a managing director and co-head of software investment banking at Cowen.
Gant started his investment banking career at RBC Capital Markets, where he covered the software industry in a variety of roles, including co-head of technology mergers & acquisitions and global head of software mergers & acquisitions.
“Peter brings a unique and highly complementary skill set to the Stephens platform,” Matthew Marks, executive vice president and head of investment banking at Stephens, said in the release. “We are excited to have an investment banker of his caliber and reputation on the team.”
Gant earned a bachelor’s and master’s in engineering from Cornell University. He holds a master’s in business administration from the University of California at Berkley.
