Phyzit Adds Former A Briggs Passport Chief Mike Blanchat as President

1 min read

Little Rock startup Phyzit has added Mike Blanchat as its new president.

Blanchat is the former president for A Briggs Passport & Visa Expeditors, which was sold last fall to CIBT.

Phyzit, founded by Little Rock pediatric urologist Stephen Canon and his father Mike, has developed an app that enables doctors and patients to communicate post-visit via telemedicine and mobile messaging.

The Phyzit TCM app is being used in roughly 20 clinics across Arkansas with negotiations pending with doctors’ groups in other states as well.

Before its sale in November, A Briggs moved its base to Little Rock from Washington, D.C. It had 17 offices including two in Canada.

Before leading A Briggs, Blanchat was international sales director for Mountain Valley Spring Water of Hot Springs.

Blanchat said that A Briggs and Phyzit are similar in that they both deal with corporate assets. “Phyzit has a tremendous amount of potential,” he said.

Canon said Blanchat brings a national presence to the team.

“Seeing his success in multiple industries and taking businesses to the next level, Mike fit well with us,” he said. “He brings a business insight the rest of us didn’t have.”
