With its headquarters in Marion (top left) and a full-service branch open in West Memphis (bottom left), Premier Bank is ready to make a former Bedding Mart location in Jonesboro its third location.
Premier Bank of Arkansas is making its first move outside Crittenden County by jumping into the $2.5 billion-deposit Jonesboro market.
The $150.5 million-asset lender intends to open a branch at 2508 E. Highland Drive. The move will increase the number of banks on the ground in Jonesboro to 15.
The branch will be Premier’s third office. In addition to its Marion headquarters, the bank operates a full-service location in West Memphis.
Premier holds the second-largest share of Crittenden County’s $725 million-deposit market: 17.31% totaling more than $125 million.
Originally known as First Community Bank of Eastern Arkansas, the bank was renamed Premier in April.
The bank recorded profits of more than $1.5 million in 2018 and nearly $1.3 million in 2017. Supported by a staff of 27, Premier generated first-quarter earnings of $478,000.
