Premier Concepts LLC of Bentonville is giving $1 million to the construction of Arkansas Children’s Northwest that will be distributed to the project over the next five years.
The company provides nationwide sales, analytics and merchandising services to the region’s vendor community.
“Premier Concepts is delighted to give to Arkansas Children’s Northwest,” CEO Darren Horton said in a news release. “For our team, Premier Concepts is more than a business, we are a family. As a company, and family, we feel led to give to a project that supports the 200,000 children in the greater northwest Arkansas area.”
Children’s Hospital said the northwest Arkansas community has pledged $28.5 million for the construction of ACNW. Walmart and Walmart Foundation donated $8 million; J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. donated $5 million; Will Golf 4 Kids and Color of Hope event committed $5 million over the next five years; the estate of Mildred and Jarrell Gray gave $1 million; and Cynthia and Kirk Dupps gave $1 million.
“We are grateful to Premier Concepts and their generous gift to the construction of Arkansas Children’s Northwest,” said Fred Scarborough, president of Arkansas Children’s Hospital Foundation. “Their dedication to improving the health of children in Arkansas is tremendous and we are proud to have them join the caring community.”
Children’s Hospital announced plans last year to build a freestanding children’s hospital in Springdale. Plans include 233,613 SF of inpatient beds, emergency care, diagnostic services and clinical space. The hospital is scheduled to open in January 2018.
