MENA – The lodge at Queen Wilhelmina State Park in Mena is scheduled to reopen following a $9.6 million renovation and expansion project.
The lodge is on the Talimena National Scenic Byway that extends from Mena, Arkansas, to Talihina, Oklahoma. It’s located on Rich Mountain in western Arkansas.
The renovation and expansion includes increasing the lodge’s size from just less than 26,000 SF to just more than 37,000 SF. An elevator was also added and more stairwells in addition to energy efficient heating, cooling and lighting.
