Randi Metcalf was recently promoted to vice president of development for CareLink of North Little Rock, a nonprofit dedicated to serving the elderly. Metcalf was promoted after working nine years in other positions at the agency.
In her new role, Metcalf will lead a staff of four people responsible for fundraising, public relations, marketing and outreach. CareLink services include Meals on Wheels, operating a fitness center and home care for senior citizens. Forecasting possible changes in funding sources, Metcalf says it’s necessary to strengthen the organization’s marketing efforts and volunteer coordination. “There’s a lot of change coming for us, and for a lot of nonprofits, so we really have to be prepared to do more this year than the past years to combat the cuts coming down from the federal level,” she said.
Metcalf has been a social worker, public relations coordinator and director of development for the agency. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Association of Fundraising Professionals Arkansas Chapter.
Metcalf graduated from Henderson State University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in human services.
