Realtors: Arkansas Homes Sales Up 5 Percent in January

The Arkansas Realtors Association said Tuesday that home sales in Arkansas rose 5 percent in January from the same time last year.

The association’s survey of home sales in 43 counties also reported that the statewide average home price remained flat at about $145,000.

Among the top counties for home sales, Benton and Pulaski counties reported the most activity. Here are the home sales totals for the top five counties in January:

  • Benton County reported 262 sales, up 2 percent from 256 in the same month last year.
  • Pulaski reported 239 sales, down about 8 percent from 259 last year.
  • Washington reported 185 sales, up 29 percent from 143 last year.
  • Faulkner reported 88 sales, up 31 percent from 67 last year.
  • Saline reported 84, down 20 percent from 105 last year.
