Arkansas home sales rose nearly 11 percent in July compared to the same month last year, according to a report Thursday by the Arkansas Realtors Association.
The report said 2,875 home sold in the 46-county area that the association surveys. That’s up 10.8 percent from the 2,594 homes sold in July 2013.
Meanwhile, the average price of the home sales fell to $163,573 from $167,407 in July 2013.
Here’s a look at sales for the state’s most active counties in July:
- Pulaski County reported 479 home sales in July, up 9.4 percent from 438 homes sold in the same month last year.
- Benton County reported 447 sales, up 1.4 percent from 441 sales in the same time last year.
- Washington County reported 282 sales, up 6 percent from 266 sales in the same time last year.
- Faulkner County reported 182 sales, up 31.9 percent from 138 sales in the same time last year.
- Saline County reported 164 sales, up 5.8 percent from 155 sales in the same time last year.
