Report: Arkansas Home Sales Up 10 Percent in November

Arkansas home sales rose more than 10 percent in November compared to the same month the previous year, according to a report released Thursday by the Arkansas Realtors Association.

The number of homes sold in November increased, and so did the average price of those homes. The average price of the homes sold in the 43-county area surveyed by the group increased from $151,350 in November 2013 to $154,906 in November 2014, an increase of more than 2 percent.

Statewide valuations in November increased by more than 12 percent from last year, according to the report.

The top five counties for units sold in November were:

  • Benton, 362 (up 22.7 percent from November 2013)
  • Pulaski, 303 (up 3.4 percent)
  • Washington, 179 (up 5.9 percent)
  • Saline, 115 (up 7.5 percent)
  • Faulkner, 96 (up 2.1 percent)

The five highest average home prices for the month, by county:

  • Conway, $243,300 (up 136.8 percent)
  • Benton, $198,719 (up 16.8 percent)
  • Pulaski, $186,560 (down 0.8 percent)
  • Washington, $182,846 (up 0.1 percent)
  • Faulkner, $167,723 (up 20.9 percent).
