Revolution Acquires Canadian Recycler PolyAg

2 min read

Plastics company Revolution Sustainable Solutions LLC of Little Rock on Wednesday announced the acquisition of Canadian recycling firm PolyAg Recycling Ltd.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

In a news release, Revolution said the deal increases the company’s recycling capacity and grows its circular solutions across North America.

PolyAg, founded in 2019, is a mechanical recycler of agricultural films. The market for its services has grown in recent years under government regulations designed to divert waste away from landfills and increase circularity in the agriculture market.

This acquisition comes after Revolution, the parent company of Delta Plastics of Little Rock, announced a $20 million expansion of its facility at the Little Rock Port in 2020. The project added two new blown film lines capable of producing 40 million-plus pounds of film products per year. The film is designed to incorporate high levels of post-consumer recycled plastic, a cornerstone of Revolution’s manufacturing model.

“We are excited about the possibilities that this acquisition brings to Revolution and our valued stakeholders,” Sean Whiteley, CEO of Revolution, said in a statement. “PolyAg has built an impressive business in a relatively short period of time, and by combining our strengths and expertise, we are well-positioned to deliver even more impactful sustainable solutions to our customers in the U.S and Canada.”

Revolution in 2021 acquired Jadcore LLC of Terre Haute, Indiana, expanding its sale of plastic products and services in the Midwest.

Revolution’s recycling programs collect and recycle 200 million pounds of used material each year. The company has been in business for more than 20 years.
