Danny Kennedy, president and CEO of Riceland Foods, recently announced his retirement.
Andrew Dallas of Jonesboro, the company’s vice president and general counsel, will serve as interim CEO, effective immediately.
Kennedy joined Riceland in 2000 as chief operating officer and took over as CEO in 2007, after Richard Bell retired.
The company’s board plans to conduct a national search for Kennedy’s replacement, while also considering internal candidates for the position.
Before joining the company, Dallas practiced law for 10 years in Jonesboro. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Lyon College in Batesville, and received his juris doctor from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
