Preparations are underway for a new restaurant and bar in the downtown Little Rock space that was home to Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar for 16 years.
The prime spot in Little Rock’s River Market District has been empty since Big Whiskey’s closed its doors in May last year, but a source told us a new concept from an existing operator in the Little Rock market is in the works.
A lease has not been signed yet and things could fail to come together, but the owners are working on the space to prepare it for a new tenant, your Whispers staff was told.
The 4,500-SF space sits at a highly visible location at Markham and Cumberland streets.
The new restaurant could be open by the end of the year or early next year, according to our source.
