1 min read

Russell Fason has been named chief executive officer of WER Architects of Little Rock. He has been a partner at the firm since 2015 and has more than 20 years of experience in architecture. Fason will succeed David Sargent, who was CEO for 38 years. He will continue to serve as principal and president. “I feel honored to continue the legacy that the principals before me have shaped. I’ve been lucky enough to overlap with all of the original partners that founded WER and brought it to where it is today,” Fason said in a press release. “I’m excited to lead us into our 46th year.”

Before being named CEO, Fason had served as principal and vice president of WER Architects since 2004. Notable projects Fason has worked on include the Windgate Center of Art & Design at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, the Don Tyson Center for Agricultural Sciences at the University of Arkansas, Midtown Medical Plaza, Premier Medical Plaza, and the design and construction of six new K-12 schools for the Jacksonville-North Pulaski School District.

Fason received a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 2000. He received his master’s degree in architecture from Harvard University in 2003.
