Shane Knight has been hired as president and chief executive officer of the Greater Bryant Chamber of Commerce. “Mr. Knight brings an abundance of experience in economic development in the arenas of industrial and commercial recruitment along with a strong history of coaching small business leaders through the day-to-day operations and obstacles of building vibrant local businesses,” the chamber said in a statement. “The City of Bryant is a proud and prosperous city that is destined to take the next step in economic growth that will propel Bryant for generations to come,” Knight said.
Knight previously was deputy director of the Southeast Arkansas Economic Development District. He grew up in Blytheville and Russellville, where his family started Knights & Sons Trash Service.
Knight graduated from Russellville High School in 1995. He received his bachelor’s degree from Williams Baptist University of Walnut Ridge. He earned a master’s in project management, as well as a Ed.D. and Ph.D.
