Daymond John
Daymond John, “Shark Tank” investor and CEO and founder of urban fashion brand FUBU, will be the inaugural Mike Watson Lecture Series speaker at Arkansas State University.
The lecture is set for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30 in Riceland Hall at the Fowler Center on the A-State campus in Jonesboro.
Blocks of tickets will be reserved for students, faculty and staff, and community members. While admission is free, all tickets must be reserved and ordered in advance. They will be available on Sept. 17.
Funding for the Watson Lecture comes from the bequest of Jonesboro businessman and A-State supporter Mike Watson. Admission to the lecture is free, thanks to the Watson endowment and other university benefactors.
John plans to speak on leadership, innovation, entrepreneurialism and overcoming obstacles in life and business.
In addition to his work with FUBU and ABC’s “Shark Tank” television show, he is a consultant with his branding company, Shark Branding, and a best-selling author of four books. Also, in 2015, then President Barack Obama selected John to serve as a presidential entrepreneurship ambassador.
