Simmons Bank Donating $50K to Junior Achievement of Arkansas

1 min read

In honor of Giving Tuesday, Simmons Bank will present a $50,000 check to Junior Achievement of Arkansas at 10 a.m. on Nov. 27 in the Simmons Tower Lobby, 425 W. Capitol Ave. in Little Rock.

The bank’s donation, which will fund work-readiness and financial literacy skills for children across its seven-state footprint, is being made in honor of associates who volunteered in their local communities earlier this fall.

In September, associates participated in “Simmons Service Month” by volunteering in their local communities, and the bank committed to making a charitable donation of up to $50,000, based on hours volunteered. The associates volunteers for nearly 4,500 hours.

Set to attend next week’s event are Jena Compton, executive vice president and chief people officer for Simmons Bank; Tonya Villines, interim president for Junior Achievement of Arkansas; and Ashley Lovercheck, member of the Central Region Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Arkansas.
