Something’s cooking in Springdale; we only wish we knew more details.
Lance Eads, vice president of economic development for the Springdale Chamber of Commerce, hints that an announcement will be made in the next few weeks — the fruit of new interest in the new Walmart Supercenter coming to Elm Springs Road and the current work on Interstate 540. The interstate work will provide easier access to 1,000 acres of undeveloped property adjacent to Arvest Ballpark.
Approximately 100 acres are available near the Walmart, which is scheduled to open in November.
“It’s across the board,” Eads said. “We’ve gotten more inquiries in the last two months for a variety of things than we have in the three years I’ve been here.”
