We asked the people who know it best how visitors can best spend their time in this river city; they suggested visiting these attractions during your downtime:
Day 1
7 a.m. | Get your caffeine fix at Indigo Blue Coffeehouse, a third-wave, independent coffee shop in the heart of downtown Pine Bluff, offering ethically sourced, locally roasted coffee, along with some organically grown options. Breakfast and lunch items are also available.
8 a.m.-noon | Meeting time
Noon | Stop by one of Pine Bluff’s food trucks, with options from authentic Mexican to Southern soul food.
1-5 p.m. | Meeting time
5-6:30 p.m. | Settle in at the Best Western Presidential Inn and Suites, a full-service hotel with business amenities, gym and a variety of room types.
6:30 p.m. | Have a slice at one of Pine Bluff’s pizzerias. Visit Sylvia’s Pizzeria, offering brick oven pizza, wings and beer, along with other appetizers. Or check out Big Banjo Pizza, complete with an arcade and pizza buffet.
8:30 p.m. | Visit the Pine Bluff Arts and Science Center’s ARTX3 campus for a theatrical production in the Art Works building, or check out exhibits by local Arkansan artists in The ArtSpace on Main.
Day 2
7 a.m. | Start your day with serenity, walking around Lake Saracen, where a trail around the body of water offers scenic views of the city and environment.
8 a.m.-noon | Meeting time
Noon | Take a detour to Stuttgart, a 45-minute drive from Pine Bluff, to visit the Flying Duck Taproom and Lounge at the headquarters of Rich-N-Tone Calls. Guests can see behind the scenes at the call manufacturer while enjoying a locally crafted beer from Flyway Brewing and a fried fish plate from the taproom’s food truck.
2 p.m. | Visit the Mack’s Prairie Wings headquarters in Stuttgart. The outdoor supply store highlights the area’s waterfowling culture, showing why Stuttgart is called the “Duck Hunting Capital of the World.”
5 p.m. | Head back to Pine Bluff to enjoy dinner at one of Saracen Casino Resort’s featured restaurants, which include the Red Oak Steakhouse; the Legends Restaurant offering timeless favorites; Saracen Sports Bar, where guests will find craft beers, signature cocktails and classic American fare; or The Post, which specializes in fried foods.
7:30 p.m. | Hit the gaming floor at Saracen, or enjoy live entertainment at the resort casino.
