Steve Owen, president of Complete Care Inc. of North Little Rock, has received the Casper J. Knight Jr. Award from the Historic Naval Ships Association.
The award is given to individuals or organizations that have contributed in a major way to the preservation and exhibition of historic naval ships and to the goals and work of the HNSA.
Owen was nominated for working to move the tugboat Hoga, a National Historic Landmark, from California to the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum in North Little Rock.
Devin Howland, workforce development program director at the nonprofit Central Arkansas Planning & Development District Inc. in Little Rock, has earned the designation of Certified Economic Developer from the International Economic Development Council.
The CEcD is a national recognition that denotes a mastery of skills in economic development, professional attainment and a commitment to personal and professional growth. Howland has four years of economic development experience.
