Stone Ward, the Little Rock advertising agency with offices in Chicago, has been named by Inc. magazine as one of the best workplaces in America for 2019.
The company, led by Larry Stone and Millie Ward, is the only Arkansas firm on the annual list, which is based on surveys conducted by Omaha’s Quantum Workplace, which asks questions about trust, management, perks and employee confidence.
“We’re humbled to have been recognized,” Ward said in a news release. “Maintaining a talent-first culture is what drives exceptional work, and I’m proud to work alongside the cohesive, collaborative team we’ve built at Stone Ward to help our clients succeed.”
Arkansas Business took a look in 2018 at the office culture — the kind of place where dogs and scooters roam the halls, the 50 employees gets an extra week off at Christmas and food is constantly available in the Skybox, a windowed loft with views of the Arkansas River and the River Market district.
Last year, PRWeek magazine put Stone Ward’s workplace in the top dozen or so ad agencies and in-house communications departments among 78 agencies that competed in its workplace competition, and the firm was one of just four midsize agencies (51 to 200 employees) so honored.
