Conway’s resurgence is keeping T.J. Lefler’s phone ringing.
Lefler, a partner with Sage Partners in Fayetteville, represents Tulsa investor Ryan McNeill, who bought the former home of Superior Chevrolet for $3 million in September. McNeill plans to divide the 6.2-acre property at 915 E. Oak St. into as many as five lots that will be anchored by a hotel.
Lefler said he has serious inquiries from several hotels as well as a handful of upscale restaurants that are interested in filling the spots.
McNeill is working with engineers at Crafton Tull, which has offices in Tulsa and Conway, to devise various layout plans for whichever setup is eventually used.
Different restaurants, Lefler said, have different frontage and building requirements. There is also a possibility of having retail sites on the property, which would add another engineering design adjustment.
“I’ve never had so much interest in a small area in a town in my career,” Lefler said. “I get calls every other day. There’s a ton of interest.”
Lefler said he expects a hotel deal perhaps in January.
