Benton and Washington counties get a lot of attention for their upscale residential sales, and for good reason, as this issue shows.
Sebastian County, anchored by Fort Smith, had only a handful of residential homes sell for $1 million or more in 2021, but the county’s most expensive home was no slouch. The 9,178-SF home, built in 2019, sold in March 2021 for $1.95 million, which would have earned a spot just outside the top 10 of Sebastian County’s more affluent neighbors to the north.
The home is in Greenwood, which is just a short drive south down Highway 71 from Fort Smith. It has seven bedrooms, 4½ bathrooms, two kitchens, a theater room and a four-car garage.
The buyers were Drs. Clint and Jennifer Wood, who are radiologists in Fort Smith. The sellers were Mark and Krista Dean and Paul and Patricia Dean.
