2 min read

Tim Boe of Rose Law Firm in Little Rock died Thursday. He was 71 and celebrated his 40th anniversary with the firm in April.

“We are all so deeply saddened at the loss of our great friend and colleague. Tim was truly one of a kind. He will be remembered for his zealous and passionate advocacy for his clients, his loyalty, humility, charm and quick wit, and his gentle, personal touch with all whom he came to know,” managing member Robyn Allmendinger said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Susan, and daughters, Elaine Ruth and Vivian. It was exceedingly clear to everyone that knew him that his wife and his girls were his ultimate joy.”

Boe held law degrees from the University of Arkansas and Southern Methodist University. He joined Rose Law Firm in 1980, practicing labor and employment law.

The firm said he spent his final decades focused on an area of the law he particularly enjoyed: workplace health and safety law. Boe built the firm’s national practice in that area and was one of the most distinguished OSHA law practitioners in the country, his colleagues said.

“Tim Boe was not only an amazing lawyer, mentor and friend, but also a uniquely compassionate and caring person who saw dignity in everyone,” said Brian Rosenthal, member and immediate past president of the Arkansas Bar Association. “His legacy is one of humility, integrity, dedication and kindness.”

Boe also served for 17 years on the Arkansas Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission.

He is survived by wife, Susan; two daughters, Elaine Ruth and Vivian Emilia; brother, Michael Boe (Anita); and nephew, Timothy Boe.

His loved ones ask that individuals consider donating to the following organizations in lieu of flowers: VOCALS Center for Arkansas Legal Services and the Central Arkansas Library System Foundation. The family will have a private interment.

Family and friends will be invited to gather and raise a glass to Boe at a later, to-be-decided date, due to the COVID-19 pandemic making such events unsafe.
