Tim Staley Named New Sales VP at Viridian (Movers & Shakers)

Tim Staley has been hired as vice president of sales at Viridian of Little Rock. He was previously senior vice president at Comfort Systems USA Energy Services.

Education

Joe Jeffers, a chemistry professor at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, has been named 2014 Professor of the Year by the central Arkansas chapter of the American Chemical Society. Jeffers has taught at OBU since 1972 and was founding dean of the J.D. Patterson School of Natural Sciences from 2002 to 2011.

Engineering

Melanie Richardson has been hired by Brown Engineers of Little Rock for a place on the company’s mechanical team. Brown Engineers employee Maxwell Good recently passed the NCEES Fire Protection Engineer examination, while Scott Geurin and Alex Trulove recently received LEED Green Associate credentials for sustainable design.

Health Care

John Glassford has been promoted from regional executive to president and CEO at HMO Partners Inc. of Little Rock.

Debbie Hopkins has been promoted from senior government relations specialist to COO at the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care, based in Little Rock.

Jerry Pavlas, president and CEO of One Bank & Trust of Little Rock, has been named to the Baptist Health Foundation board of trustees. Pavlas began serving on the 35-member board in May and his term ends December 2020.

Rod Smith has been promoted to vice president of information technology operations at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. Smith has worked in ACH’s IT operations for 30 years, most recently as director of information technology.

Hospitality

Karena White has returned to the Little Rock Marriott as national association sales manager, while James Schelnick has been promoted to director of special events at the Marriott. Schelnick has worked at the Marriott (formerly The Peabody Little Rock) since 2013. He will coordinate the hotel’s grand opening this summer following a $17 million renovation.

Media/Marketing

Angel Galloway has been hired as the director of marketing at the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock. Galloway has more than 15 years of experience, spending the last six as director of communications and marketing at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre in Little Rock.

Caitlin Palenske has been named account coordinator at Think Advertising, based in Searcy. Palenske also assists in the client services department.

Nonprofits

Carol Cassil has been hired as communications director at the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care, based in Little Rock. She worked as a senior specialist for AFMC from 2009-12.

Anais Troadec has won the Alliance Award from the Volunteers for Economic Growth Alliance of Washington. She was nominated by Winrock International of Little Rock. Troadec has been a volunteer for eight years, focusing her efforts on gender and organizational development.

Real Estate

Kathy Beaston has been promoted to vice president of finance and serves as controller for Moses Tucker Real Estate, based in Little Rock. John Martin has been promoted to vice president of commercial brokerage. Moses Tucker has also hired two new employees: Lori Adcock-McGhee as vice president of property management and Kevin Yarberry as vice president of facilities management.

C. Shane Harvey has been hired as associate director and property manager at Newmark Grubb Arkansas in Little Rock. Harvey has more than 10 years of commercial real estate experience.

George Heintzen, executive director of ERA Henley Real Estate in Conway, has been awarded the Certified Residential Specialist designation by the Council of Residential Specialists, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors. Heintzen is a past board member of the Faulkner County Board of Realtors.

Luther Keeling, a 22-year employee at Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney & Faucette, has been hired as head coach and managing broker in the Rogers office. His real estate career began in 1994 at Harris McHaney Realtors. Keeling is a former president of the Rogers Board of Realtors.

Retail

Ali Mirian has been appointed senior vice president of product development and analytics at Collective Bias of Bentonville, a social media company that specializes in shopper demands. Mirian brings 15 years of retail experience to Collective Bias’ office in New York.

Transportation

Jason Wing, safety compliance and training manager for ABF Freight of Fort Smith, has been named the Arkansas Trucking Association’s top safety professional for 2013. Wing has been an ABF employee since 2002. He received the American Trucking Association’s National Safety Professional Award of Excellence in 2013.
