Tony Houston
Effective Dec. 22, Tony Houston will be president of CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, the former Mercy facility that CHI St. Vincent acquired in April. He will replace Thomas Fitz, who had served as interim president since the acquisition. Houston will report to Chad Aduddell, EVP and COO of CHI St. Vincent. “Tony has a stellar career in health care resulting in improvements in safety, patient satisfaction, physician satisfaction, co-worker engagement and financial performance. Patients treated at CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs will benefit greatly from his experience,” Aduddell said in a news release.
Houston is currently executive vice president and chief operating officer at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri. SSM Health is a Catholic nonprofit health care company headquartered in St. Louis, and Houston joined the company in 2010 as its corporate director of operational finance. His experience in health care dates to 2000, when he worked for the University of Chicago Hospitals. In between, he was a senior associate consulting on health care provider management for PricewaterhouseCoopers and a senior director of public finance with Fitch Ratings.
Houston earned a B.S. at the University of Cincinnati and a master’s degree in health services administration from Xavier University, also in Cincinnati.
