Tonya Villines Named President of Junior Achievement of Arkansas

Tonya Villines has been named president of Junior Achievement of Arkansas.

As president, she will manage the organization’s work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy programs that reach more than 14,000 K-12 students throughout the state.

Villines is a Saline County native and a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She has more than 22 years of nonprofit management experience, holding both local and statewide positions.

She is also a Leadership Saline County Class XI graduate and member of the John Maxwell Team. Villines serves on the Little Rock Central High School Advisory Board and the Maumelle High School Advisory Board.

She began her career in 1994 with Benton State Bank as a branch manager. She has also served the Benton Chamber of Commerce as an account executive and as children ministry coordinator at Fellowship Bible Church-Saline.

She joined Junior Achievement as its program manager in Arkansas in 2010. Over the past eight years there, Villines has created new public-private partnerships focused on teaching young people about money, work and business ownership, and brought JA to new markets around the state. According to a news release, she has been a driving force in youth entrepreneurship and has forged partnerships with the state’s entrepreneurial support organizations.
