Tracy French Named CEO of Centennial Bank

2 min read

Home BancShares Inc. of Conway said Wednesday announced management changes at its wholly owned subsidiary, Centennial Bank.

The publicly traded company (Nasdaq: HOMB) said Tracy M. French has been promoted to president, CEO and director of Centennial Bank, replacing C. Randall “Randy” Sims.

Sims will retain his title as CEO of Home BancShares. He’ll also remain on the boards of Home BancShares and Centennial Bank. French will report directly to Sims.

“I welcome this opportunity to step back from the bank level and focus my energy on holding company issues,” Sims said in a news release. “Tracy is a great fit for this position at Centennial Bank.”

French has been regional president of Centennial Bank and vice chairman of the bank’s executive management committee. He joined the company in 2003.

“These changes come as part of improving the company’s succession plan,” Home BancShares Chairman John Allison said in a news release. “As an over $7 billion company, we felt it was the right time to make a positive expansion of the management team.

“The Centennial Bank board selected Mr. French because of his past performance in helping lead the bank, as well as his strong management and individual qualities,” Allison said. “Tracy and I have worked together for 12 years and I am confident he is qualified for the task at hand. I am certain he will continue to grow the Bank as Randy Sims has done so well in the past.”

Centennial Bank has locations in Arkansas, Florida and South Alabama.
