At Travel Nurse Across America, employees never know what could be in store to make the workday special.
The company strives to recognize accomplishments and individual contributions, said Angie Morgan, Director of Marketing for TNAA.
“Even though we are growing at a rapid pace and our workdays stay extremely busy, we all take the time to recognize exceptional talent and effort,” Morgan said. “Everyone, from senior leadership to individual team members, is involved in this process, whether it’s nominating someone for our quarterly Underdog Award or simply sending an email to the entire office detailing an individual’s accomplishment.”
The company also hosts monthly potlucks and cookouts on the patio, and has ice cream during the summer, even when there is no specific reason to celebrate.
Activities like this are a part of TNAA’s efforts to be more than just a place of business for employees.
“We want our employees to know that we are here to support them fully, whether professionally or in times of family and personal need,” Morgan said.
TNAA is headquartered in North Little Rock, but places nurses on multi-week assignments in health care facilities in all 50 states. Twice a year, all traveling employees come back to the office for “Rally Week.”
During those two weeks, employees participate in training, team building, breakout sessions, fun social events and more. Some of the highlights have included food trucks, live music and comedy performances and offsite events at local restaurants.
“We enjoy being able to provide this week of food and fun — as well as some learning — to our team,” Morgan said.
And these efforts do not go unnoticed. Morgan said TNAA has an exceptionally low turnover rate and employees are eager to advance in the company.
We make an effort to recognize the individual contributions of our team members to our overall success and we have fun doing it. — Angie Morgan, Director of Marketing
What Sets Us Apart
Every year, TNAA hosts a Christmas Giving Drive. The company collects monetary donations from employees and matches those gifts twice to buy gifts for organizations such as Our House and the Little Rock Compassion Center.
