TSA Announces New Electronics Screening at Little Rock Airport

1 min read

The Transportation Security Administration announced Monday the implementation of new screening procedures for carry-on items at the Clinton National Airport in Little Rock.

The procedures, announced earlier this year, require travelers to place all electronics larger than a cell phone in bins for X-ray screening in standard lanes. TSA officers will begin to ask travelers to remove those items from carry-on bags and place them in a bin with nothing on top or below; this allows the officers to obtain a clearer X-ray image.

In standard lanes, officers will be stationed in front of checkpoint X-ray machines to guide passengers through the process and recommend how best to arrange carry-on items for screening.

Travelers are encouraged to organize their carry-on bags and keep them uncluttered to ease the screening process and keep the lines moving.

The new measures do not apply to passengers enrolled in TSA Pre-Check who are using those TSA Pre-Check lanes.
