Dr. Andrew Coble, who came to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison as a general surgeon in 2012, has been recognized by the American Board of Surgery as a board-certified surgeon. Coble also recently passed his oral exam in New Orleans to become a board-certified fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Sammie Cribbs, a nurse at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, was selected as one of the Arkansas Action Coalition’s 40 Outstanding Nurse Leaders Under the Age of 40.
Nonprofits
Ryan Davis has been named director of UALR Children International, a nonprofit affiliated with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock that provides medical, dental, educational and family assistances to children in Little Rock. Previously, Davis was the pastor of Mount Pleasant Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Hope and the chief academic officer of Positive Atmosphere Reaches Kids in Little Rock.
Carolyn McCone has been named executive director of the Methodist Family Health Foundation in Little Rock. McCone formerly was president of the Arkansas chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and led development efforts for the Centers for Youth & Families Foundation and Mount St. Mary Academy Foundation.
Cynthia Gregory has been hired by Girl Scouts-Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma & Texas as its new fund development chair. Formerly employed by the Arkansas Rice Depot, Gregory joined the Girl Scouts in April and will now oversee 79 counties, including all of Arkansas except Crittenden, two counties in Oklahoma and three counties in Texas.
Cindy Acree, Jessica Blackburn and Kim Shumpert have been elected to the Arkansas Nonprofit Alliance’s board of directors. Acree was formerly the executive director of Havenwood, a nonprofit housing program in Bentonville. Blackburn is the foundations director of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Shumpert is the executive director of City Youth Ministries of Jonesboro.

Matt Owen has been named creative director of Exit Marketing in Little Rock. His work has been featured in Entertainment Weekly, The New York Times and the Forbes Blog. Alex Cantrell has been hired as an account manager. Cantrell graduated from Harding University in Searcy with a degree in English, a minor in Bible and religion and an emphasis in Spanish.
Real Estate
Carol Counce has been hired by Weichert Realtors-The Griffin Co., with offices in Fayetteville, Bentonville and Springdale, as a real estate agent. Counce will work out of Weichert’s Fayetteville office and serve clients in northwest Arkansas. Dina Mota and David Barber have joined the firm’s Bentonville office as real estate agents.
Architecture
Nome Brown and James Swann have been hired as intern architects for Witsell Evans Rasco Architects/Planners. Brown graduated magna cum laude from Tuskegee University in Alabama and received a master’s degree in education from Concordia University in Texas. Swann, a graduate of the Fay Jones School of Architecture at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, spent four years in Chicago at a firm focusing on large, high-end modern and traditional residences north of the city.
