The University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law ranks second in the nation in student yield, a term used to describe the percentage of accepted students that choose to enroll in a given school.
An average yield for law schools is 23 percent. The Bowen School of Law comes in at 68 percent, just below Yale and just above Harvard. The numbers come from a recent study by Scott Fruehwald, who reviewed law school enrollment numbers for the 2013 class.
“We are always looking for creative and meaningful ways to reach out to prospective students, to welcome them to our community, to answer their questions and concerns, and to do everything we can to prepare them to succeed in law school and beyond,” Michael Hunter Schwartz, dean, said in a news release.
School officials say Bowen’s tuition, at $14,000 per year for a full-time student, may factor into the student’s decision to enroll.
