UAM’s Babst Recognized for Forestry Study (Movers & Shakers)

Benjamin Babst, a professor at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, has been awarded the 2019 Ouachita Society of American Foresters Award for forestry science research.

Babst was presented the award at the organization’s state meeting at the Mount Magazine Lodge near Paris.


John McMinn has been hired as the director of commodity activities and economics at the Arkansas Farm Bureau in Little Rock.

McMinn has spent the past three years as a program associate in the Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness Department of the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Research & Extension.
