USA Truck Inc. of Van Buren named Jeff Harris as its vice president of maintenance.
Harris replaced Chris Parsons, who joined the company in September 2015. Parsons’ departure wasn’t announced by the company but his LinkedIn profile indicates he left USA Truck in June.
Harris joins USA Truck after 28 years with Swift Transportation, where he was director of maintenance for the company’s central region.
Harris will oversee the company’s maintenance facilities. He is the vice chairman of the American Trucking Associations’ Technology & Maintenance Council for the 2017.
“Jeff is an essential addition to our management team and will lead initiatives that enhance and bolster USA Truck’s maintenance performance,” USA Truck CEO and President James Reed said. “Jeff’s experience in cost and process innovation are a real competitive advantage, and we are excited he has chosen to bring his talents to USA Truck.”
In August, USA Truck reported second-quarter losses of $2.8 million, its sixth consecutive losing quarter.
