Visit Bentonville Hires Natalie Demaree as Communications Coordinator

1 min read

Visit Bentonville, the tourism and promotion bureau in the northwest Arkansas city, has hired a native as its communications coordinator.

Natalie Demaree, a 2021 journalism graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, started in the job in April after serving as a social media specialist and interim social media manager for the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and The Momentary, a visual and performing arts center. Both are in Bentonville.

In a press release, Demaree said she was thrilled to join the tourism bureau. “Being able to promote my hometown and share all of its uniqueness with the world is really special to me,” she said. Her job will be to “help showcase Bentonville’s one-of-a-kind mix of sites, sounds, food and good times.”

Alison Nation, Visit Bentonville’s vice president of communications and marketing, said Demaree’s journalism background and passion for the city made her a perfect fit for the job. “We have no doubt that she will be a valuable asset as we continue to promote” the city and its attractions, Nation said.

Visit Bentonville is funded by the Bentonville Advertising and Promotion Commission, which in turn is supported by a 2% tax on lodging and meeting space and a 1% sales tax on restaurant and dining establishment sales.
